His Excellency Ali Majed Al Mansoori is a member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi and the Executive Director at the office of the Vice Chairman at the Executive Council. He plays an active role in developing fiscal policies and formulating strategic plans of the office.

H.E. Ali Al Mansoori is also the Chairman of the Department of Economic Development, the Chairman of Abu Dhabi Airports Company, member of the Audit Committee at Abu Dhabi Investment Council, Board member of Al Hilal Bank, Board Member at Al Dar - Sorouh Company, as well as Board Member at Abu Dhabi Global Market.

H.E. Ali Al Mansoori has previously held several high level positions including the Director of External Equities Europe at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and Deputy Director at External Funds-America.  He has worked in several key sectors and industries, including Aviation, Automobiles and Energy.

H.E. Ali Al Mansoori holds a Bachelor degree in Finance from Warner Pacific University USA, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).  He also successfully completed several seminars at Harvard Business School.

​Mr. Ayman Al Makkawy is Director General - Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) under the auspices of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development - DED, specialized in Industrial Projects and Development.
He holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in engineering.
He has also completed the Project Management Professional (PMP) programme in 2007.

Ayman recently delivered a DED-lead major government Master Plan study defining a road map for the Petrochemicals sector in Abu Dhabi, engaging all stakeholders.

Ayman worked for Etihad Rail establishing and leading its working team at inception, and was seconded from Etihad Rail to DED as Executive Director in 2011.
Earlier he was SVP for Abu Dhabi Basic Industries – ADBIC where he participated in evaluation and award of the expansion project for its affiliate company Emirates Steel Industries – ESI.

Ayman's main career was in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company - ADNOC between 1990 and 2007; in one of its group companies he was member of the Extended Management Team, leaving as Manager - major projects.
While in the ADNOC group he did business in the Engineering and Projects areas of the Oil & Gas sector and worked in Aberdeen, UK between 2001 & 2002.

Earlier in his career Ayman worked in Abu Dhabi Municipality and with Consultancy firms both in the UAE and abroad.
His core experience centered on Management and Engineering development of Industrial major projects.

In 2005 he was a member of a special government task force advising on a deal in the Energy Services sector.

  • Ghanem is the Executive Director for Support Services Sector, Department of Economic Development, Government of Abu Dhabi since 2005 to Date.
  • He supervises the development of policies, regulations, programs and processes to  enhance the work of all the divisions of the Support Services Sector, namely: Human Resources, Finance, IT, General Services, Public Relations and IMS. He coordinates with Corporate Support Sector to assess and determine the most important strategic approaches, operational initiatives and indicators related to the nature of activities and services provided by the sector, to be included in DED strategic plan.
  • He reviews, monitors and supervises the design, preparation and development of Corporate Support Sector's operational plans and initiatives from the actual trends and challenges supportive  to the DED's  strategic plans.
  • Mandated to successfully conclude the merger and acquisition of Planning Department & Economy Department, into the former Department of Planning and Economy.
  • Responsible to the DED's Public Relations, Strategic Communications and stakeholders initiatives.
  • Entrusted with the task of unleashing and branding the DED's New corporate identity and the corporate culture.
  • Undertaken the current on-going restructuring strategic initiative, to ensure readiness for transitioning into the DED's new approved institutional framework  as per the new mandate.​

Mr. Khalid Mohamed Matar Al Kaabi has held the positon of acting Executive Director of Policy and Legislation Sector at the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) since the beginning of 2015.

Al Kaabi joined the ADDED in early 2005 as a legal advisor and was put in charge of reviewing the Department's contracts and all related matters, in addition to issues concerning commercial affairs such as licenses, trade names, etc., He also has been a member of the Human Resources Committee which makes him responsible for examining all matters associated with the legal aspects of human resources. AL Kaabi has participated in reviewing the Free Trade Agreements as part of the UAE's negotiating team headed by the Ministry of Economy.

In 2008, he played an important role in establishing, promoting and taking over the management of the Agreements and Legal Policies Directorate in ADDED. Among his most important achievements during his tenure in this directorate is the establishment of the Advisory Committee on Free Trade Agreements, which succeeded in coordinating the efforts of concerned entities at the level of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in issues related to Free Trade Agreements.

Al Kaabi is also a member of several committees operating within and outside the ADDED, such as the committee in charge of preparing executive regulations for the law establishing ADDED. Formerly, he took part in the National Anti-Money Laundering Committee headed by the Central Bank.

Prior to joining the ADDED, he worked at the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the United States, where he was in charge of supervising the numbers of Emirati students enrolling in American universities.

Al Kaabi holds a master's degree in International Legal Studies from the American University in Washington DC in the United States, as well as a bachelor's degree in Law from the Dubai Police Academy.
